The landscape of veteran leadership is shifting. Networking, a vital component of professional growth, demands both effort and time. The rise of remote work has fundamentally altered how veteran leaders are supported and connected. A significant gap in support for mid-career veteran leaders has emerged, and it's at this crucial juncture in their careers that they are primed to accelerate their trajectory. Additionally, there's a noticeable lack of connections across Veteran Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These ERGs, often seen as an 'additional duty', hold immense potential to add value, especially by supporting ERG leaders.

To address these challenges and capitalize on these opportunities, our strategy for 2024 is multifaceted:

• Growing a National Network: We aim to grow a national network of Veteran Leaders focused on promoting mutual professional success. This involves strengthening interpersonal connections and providing platforms for veterans to engage and thrive.

• In-Person and Virtual Events: City-based in-person events and national virtual events will be key in fostering connections. These events are designed to cater to the diverse needs and locations of our members.

• Innovative Networking Opportunities: We're introducing virtual coffee chats, networking opportunities, and elevator pitching sessions. These initiatives are tailored to facilitate meaningful interactions in a digital era.

• Corporate Partnerships: Building strong corporate partnerships will provide our members with broader opportunities and resources, enhancing their professional development.

• Connecting ERGs and Joint Events: By linking various Veteran ERGs and organizing joint events, we aim to bridge the gaps and create a unified support network.

• Digital Platforms for Engagement: Utilizing Slack channels, we plan to offer a more connected and immediate communication platform. This will help in idea sharing and instant networking.

• Book Club and Thought Leadership: Our book club and ERG thought leadership programs will focus on idea sharing and personal development, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

• MBA Vet Clubs and Member-Driven Initiatives: Engaging with MBA Vet Clubs and encouraging member-driven ideas are crucial. We believe in empowering our members to lead and innovate within our community.
